01 May 2010 - 30 May 2010 Date to be confirmed

Raced in the fabulously-picturesque Hong Kong Harbour, visitors can watch the incredible spectacle of the International Dragon Boat Races. Teams from all over Asia travel to the bustling city to compete in this popular event which always attracts large crowds who line the harbour, cheering on the many boats. Sitting two abreast and spurred on by the rhythmic beat thumped out by a drummer seated at the font of the boat, teams of about 20 rowers power the ornately carved, 10m (30ft) dragon boats through the waves. In addition to the racing, there are a number of stalls and food and drink vendors on the harbour front.
