01 Nov 2010 - 20 Dec 2010 Date to be confirmed

The Christmas Markets in the city of Hamburg take over the various squares with each one offering something a little bit different with a unique atmosphere. In the Town Hall (Rathaus) Square, circus artists mill amongst the shoppers dispensing warming glasses of mulled wine. At Jungfernstieg, five traditional 'fantasy boats' lie at anchor offering visitors a blend of homemade Christmas cookies, magic shows and jugglers. Located on the small, intimate Gansemarkt, the Hanseatic Christmas Market harks back to the city's great trading age with plenty of traditional attractions. A larger market takes place in the area of Gerhart-Hauptmann-Platz. Whilst each market has a unique feel and flavour, they all have stalls selling mulled wine, speciality products and handmade gifts.
