The Dresden Music Festival can claim to be one of the biggest classic festivals in Germany, attracting around 150,000 guests each year. One of its most distinctive features is its theme, which changes each year and which sets the tone for the series of concerts. Earlier themes have included 'Music and History', 'Journeys to Music' and 'Dresden and Europe'. According to the theme, the festival presents some of the most important international soloists and ensembles from around the world. Guests are invited to choose their preferences and personal highlights from about 150 performances.
